As per the Gujarat Agricultural University Act 2004 (Gujarat Act No. 5 of 2004) the erstwhile Gujarat Agricultural University was divided into four Universities: 1. Junagadh Agricultural University (JAU), 2. Anand Agricultural University (AAU), 3. Navsari Agricultural University (NAU), 4. Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University (SDAU) Moreover, the Gujarat Natural Farming Science University (GNFSU) was established through the GNFSU Act No. 16 of 2017, amended by Act No. 2 of 2022 and further amended in 2023.
